TYA Foundation Course
Yoga is about much more than perfect posture. It comes with a rich and challenging philosophy that stretches back over 5,000 years.
It is a philosophy that allows us- in our time- to make the eternal human quest for our unique place in this vast universe, while paradoxically discovering our oneness with each other.
The TYA Foundation Course explores this philosophy as well as Yoga’s rich history. Alongside this, we delve deeply into the facets of Yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), yama and nyama (ethics a values), pratyahara, dharana and dhyanam (the process of meditation) that all lead to samadhi (Oneness). Register Interest
The perennial quest of Yoga:
What am I?
What am I in relation to this vast universe I find myself in?
Alone with our practice we discover ourselves
Together we discover our oneness
The TYA Foundation Course include:
Philosophy and ethics of Yoga from the major traditional Yoga text
Asana, pranayama, mudra and bandha
Basics of anatomy and physiology only as needed for personal practice
The Foundation Course is a ‘stand-alone’ course with its own certification on completion of the course. For those wishing to become Yoga teachers, it is a requirement before attending the TYA Yoga Teacher Course, press here for more information.
Course participants will be given a comprehensive digital manual
to continue their study of areas covered in each day’s course programme to encourage continued participation in the Yoga journey at home, while also participating in the joy of meeting and being with others on the same journey.
We offer blended training: which is in-person training and live-streaming on the zoom platform. We know in-person training is most people’s preference, so we design our live online courses to be as interactive and as like our in-person courses as possible by using break out rooms, pair and group practices and facilitating the chance to connect with others on the course.
